Ryan Jolly,  MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Welcome to the practice of Ryan Jolly, a beacon of hope and resilience in the healthcare industry. A loving foster and adoptive mother of four special needs children, Ryan is no stranger to the challenges life can throw. Her journey is one of unwavering dedication; a tale that weaves personal passion with professional prowess.

Ryan’s path to becoming a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) wasn't a straight line. At first, she was on track to earn a PhD in nursing. However, when the pandemic hit, her course altered dramatically. It was during this time of global crisis that Ryan felt a profound calling to be more directly involved in patient care. She decided to trade the administrative route for a hands-on approach, thus embracing the path of a nurse practitioner.

What sets Ryan apart from many psychiatric care providers is her deeply ingrained belief in the power of compassion and empathy. "If we are all here to do our part in caring for each other, everything works out," she says. This philosophy underpins every aspect of her work, guiding her interactions with patients and their families.

A certified PMHNP, Ryan brings an exceptional level of expertise to her practice. Her credentials are not just a testament to her academic achievements, but also a reflection of her commitment to providing the best possible care. In a field often marked by clinical detachment, Ryan stands out for her warmth, understanding, and genuine desire to make a difference.

In the realm of psychiatric care, Ryan Jolly is more than just a healthcare provider. She is a lifeline, a source of comfort and support for those grappling with mental health issues. With a heart full of empathy and a mind brimming with knowledge, Ryan continues to change lives one patient at a time.

Our Approach

At Brain First Family Center, we believe in a unique and holistic approach to mental health care. Our dedication to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) sets us apart, as we utilize this evidence-based therapy to help our patients build a life worth living through the development of coping mechanisms and emotional regulation strategies.

We also adopt a "whole person" approach to medication management. Our highly trained practitioners look beyond the diagnosis, considering the larger context of the individual's life. We understand that family, community, and personal experiences all play a critical role in mental health. Our approach is anything but detached or clinical; it's warm, empathetic, and tailored to each individual's needs.

Understanding that there are no magic pills for mental health, we equip our patients with a variety of tools and resources necessary for their journey. The importance of physical health in promoting mental well-being is not lost on us. That's why our office includes a treadmill, underscoring our belief in the therapeutic power of physical activity for brain health.

Above all, we recognize that each person's life experiences are unique, and mental health journeys are deeply personal. We are experts at meeting individuals where they are, helping them navigate the path toward improved mental health. Our goal is not just to provide care, but to empower our patients to lead fuller, healthier lives.
